RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Worked on a car follow camera that interpolates smoothly between a min and max distance from the camera and rotates around the car based on its speed and turns when the car either turns, drifts or uses nitrous.

  • Worked on car physics like traction control, drifting, throttle, crashing into rails and currently working on phasing through objects and other player cars using Unity’s physics engine.

  • Responsible for AI of opposing cars using target way point systems and allowing it to slow down or speed up according to the player’s skill level to eliminate too hard or to easy gameplay.

  • Worked on level design by sculpting and modeling terrains using unity and texturing them using substance painter, bump map and adobe Photoshop.

  • Responsible for all the VFX and post processing effects  like camera effects, environment effects, nitrous boost effects, car crashes, motion blur and  blooms that are optimized for mobile platform.

  • Worked on optimization by converting terrains to meshes and reducing poly count using Simplygon.

  • Used different occlusion culling tools and baking meshes, lights and texture atlases to reduce draw calls.

  • Setting up a multiplayer server that allows players to not only play online but locally through Local area networks using there devices hotspot.
